Here’s the recipe for Kash Castleberry’s Mother’s delicious dinner rolls. It was a little unclear at first, so I’ve attempted to break it down (see below). I hope I got it right. First, she creates two separate mixtures (#1 and #2). Next, she blends them together. Then, she creates a third mixture (#3) and eventually blends all three together. Mixture #1
Ingredients:

- 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Shortening
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
Direction:
Add the ingredients to 1 Cup of boiling water and stir. Let cool to lukewarm.
Mixture #2
Ingredients:

- 2 Packets Yeast
- 1 Tablespoon Granulated Sugar
Direction:
Dissolve ingredients in 1/2 Cup warm water.
Mixture #3
Ingredients:

- 3 eggs
- 4 1/2 Cups of Flour
Direction:
Beat the eggs together and add the 4 1/2 Cups of Flour.
Summary Directions:

- Add the first mixture to the yeast mixture. Blend.
- Add the third mixture.
- Beat together thoroughly.
- Let rise for 1 hour, covered.
- Stir down. Put in refrigerator overnight.
- Roll and cut to shape.
- Let rise 2 1/2 hours at room temperature, covered.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
